It's that time of the year again, and if you are sensible you will have bought all of your presents, but before you can start chill-axing, sipping eggnog or mead and watching Die Hard you need to wrap your presents.

The pain is real...Fortunately, there are ways to make it more enjoyable - by listening to music, of course.

Here are 5 top rock Christmas songs that will make gift wrapping all that easier. Careful when headbanging and holding scissors though...

The Darkness - Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)

Released in 2003, this song is a bit cheesy in places, but the metal-guiar sounding tune is just an awesome song to hear during the festive period. Justin's high-pitched lyrics really pack a punch in this rock 'nd roll number. A must listen.

Queen - Thank God It's Christmas

Despite all of their top hits, Queen also managed to write a Christmas jingle too. Perhaps not their best song, but still a good listen - C'mon Freddie Mercury and Brian May on a Christmas track!!!

Christopher Lee - Silent Night

The late Sir Christopher Lee lived an interesting life. He was a Bond villian, Dracula, a wizard in Middle-Earth and a Sith-Lord. Unkown to some, he was also a fan of metal music and released two Christmas albums/EPs. My favourite of his Christmas songs is his metal cover of Silent Night. Ironic that a song that is meant to be calm and gentle is loud and in your face; but awesome none the less. If you are unaware of his music, then make sure you take a listen now, you won't regret it.

The Ramones - Merry Christmas (I Don't Want To Fight Tonight)

The Godfathers of punk, The Ramones wrote a Christmas song that contains a couple arguing in their video whilst they play in the background.

Perhaps, this song is in relation to a Christmas gone and past...A good punk song for Christmas, it's a shame it isn't on the radio enough.

Chuck Berry - Run Rudolph Run

2017 was the year we lost the legendary Chuck Berry, however, during his 60 + year career he wrote one of the most inconic Christmas songs, Run Rudolph Run. You may recognise it in the film, Home Alone. A classic that contains his icon blues guitar tune.

What do you think? What is your favourite Christmas song?

I hope these songs will make wrapping all of those presents that bit easier.

Have a Happy Christmas!
